Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how CSEdge Portfolio Pulse uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies when you visit portfolio.pulse.csedge.co.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also use related technologies including Local Storage and Session Storage, which store data locally in your browser. This policy covers all of these.

2. How We Use Storage Technologies

Name / KeyTypePurposeDuration
firebase:authUser:*Local StorageStores your Firebase authentication token so you remain logged in between sessions.Until sign-out
portfolio_draftLocal StorageSaves your in-progress portfolio data so your work is not lost if you close the tab.Persistent
portfolio_onboardingLocal StorageRecords whether you have completed the onboarding walkthrough.Persistent
github_authLocal StorageStores your GitHub connection status for deployment.Session
__sessionCookie (Secure, HttpOnly)Firebase Authentication session cookie set by the Firebase SDK.2 weeks

3. Essential vs. Optional Storage

Essential (always active)

Authentication cookies and portfolio draft storage are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Without them, you would be logged out on every page load and lose your work.

Analytics (optional)

We store a session ID in memory (not persisted to disk) for grouping your analytics events together in a single session. This is not used for cross-site tracking.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Google Firebase (our authentication and database provider) may set additional cookies as part of their service. Razorpay (our payment provider) may set cookies during the payment flow. These are governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not serve advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts.

5. Managing Cookies

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Note that clearing authentication storage will sign you out. Clearing portfolio draft storage will delete any unsaved portfolio data.

Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies and control cookie settings. Please consult your browser's help documentation for instructions.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the technologies we use. Please check this page periodically for updates.
